In January, a famous Finnish pitching competition from Oulu – Polar Bear Pitching – took place in China for the first time in history! Mingle Advisors organized the event together with Nexus Space in Hangzhou. A smaller-scale kickstart event brought loads of people together to celebrate entrepreneurship.
Polar Bear Pitching is about challenging yourself and getting new, exciting experiences. In Oulu, Finland, the pitching takes place in a freezing cold ice-water-hole. This way you can pitch as long as you can! The spirit of Oulu was truly present, since it even snowed in Hangzhou for the whole week (this usually never happens). We are hoping to organize this event again in 2019.
